The Farm in Hayfork
Gaia Gardens in Hayfork is a full-sun farm, where our plants grow in the most natural way—nourished by full-spectrum sunlight rather than synthetic lights. We rely exclusively on organic nutrients and implement an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) system that uses natural pesticides and beneficial predator insects. This approach targets unwanted pests without harsh chemicals, protecting both our plants and the environment.
Most of our plants thrive directly in native soil—an uncommon practice in the industry—allowing them to develop deep, natural roots. A select few are grown in 400-gallon breathable fabric pots for pheno-hunting, ensuring each plant has the ideal environment to express its unique traits.
The Farm in Lewiston
Gaia Gardens in Lewiston features four greenhouses, allowing us to fine-tune growing conditions and control the sun’s cycle through a technique called “light deprivation” or “light-dep.” By combining natural and artificial light, we accelerate the plants’ growth cycles, enabling us to harvest three times per season instead of just once.
Two of our greenhouses are equipped with heaters and supplemental lighting, allowing us to cultivate year-round—even through the winter.
